Scott Keeney
President and Chief Executive Officer
 
Scott Keeney has been President and CEO since co-founding nLIGHT in 2000. Previously, he was CEO of Aculight Corporation and consultant with McKinsey & Company. Scott holds a B.A. from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from Harvard. In 2006, he was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology in the Pacific Northwest.
     
  Jason Farmer
Chief Technology Officer

Jason Farmer is responsible for developing and leading nLIGHT’s technology vision and strategic direction. Prior to co-founding nLIGHT, he worked for Aculight developing various solid state lasers, diode based lasers and nonlinear optical systems. Jason holds a B.S in Physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.S. in astrophysics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
     
  Joe DeBartolo
Vice President of Sales of Marketing

Joe DeBartolo is responsible for nLIGHT's sales and marketing strategy. Prior to joining nLIGHT, he held a wide range of management positions in sales and marketing at Digital Optics Corporation, Uniphase Corporation and Coherent. Joe holds a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Washington State University.
     
  Jake Bell
Vice President, Defense Group

Jake Bell is responsible for nLIGHT’s Military and Aerospace business unit and Advanced Technology programs.  Previously, he held several management positions in R&D, marketing, and sales at Agilent Technologies and Hewlett Packard. Jake holds an M.B.A. from Colorado State University, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from Washington State University.
     
    Zack Huang
Vice President, China Operations

Zack Huang is responsible for all aspects of nLIGHT’s China operations. Prior to co-founding nLIGHT in China, he worked for SDL, later acquired by JDSU, Intel, and Novalux. Zack holds an M.S. from the University of Texas at Austin.
     
  Robert Martinsen
Vice President of Product Engineering

Robert Martinsen is responsible for product engineering at nLIGHT. Previously, he held the position as director of product engineering for the Semiconductor Business Unit at Coherent. Robert holds a B.Eng. (hons) from the New York Maritime Academy, as well as degrees in mechanical, aerospace and ocean engineering from the University of Virginia and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
     
  Steve Norgaard
Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

Steve Norgaard is responsible for manufacturing at nLIGHT. Previously, he held several senior management positions at Applied Materials, Inc. and New Focus, Inc. Steve holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
     
  Mark DeVito
Vice President of Device Engineering

Mark DeVito is responsible for all aspects of device engineering. Prior to co-founding nLIGHT, he served in key manufacturing management roles at LuxNet Corporation and SDL. Mark holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Science from Oregon Graduate Institute.
     
  David Schaezler
Vice President of Finance and Accounting

David Schaezler is responsible for finance and accounting at nLIGHT. Previously, he held various financial positions at Integrated Device Technology and VLSI Technology, Inc. David holds a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
     
  John K. Johnson
Senior Director of Human Resources

John Johnson is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources. Prior to joining nLIGHT, he held executive level HR positions at organizations such as RealNetworks, SCP Global Technologies, Micron, HostPro, and Melaleuca/B&V Technology. John has a B.Sc. degree from Boise State University and is SPHR certified by the Society of Human Resource Management.
