LIEKKI™ COMPONENTS
nLIGHT provides fiber components for use in fiber lasers and amplifiers. The fiber components are manufactured in cooperation with our carefully chosen partners according to our specifications and with our LIEKKI™ passive fibers.
The combination of LIEKKI™ active fibers, passive fibers and fiber components allows the development of all fiber lasers and amplifiers, and ensures the mode field is well matched throughout the fiber laser or amplifier. LIEKKI™ components can be interconnected with standard splicers eliminating bulk optics and greatly improving reliability.
 LIEKKI™ Pump and Signal Combiners
LIEKKI™ (6+1)x1 pump and signal combiners are used to combine the power from six multimode laser pump diodes and couple it with a signal feed. The devices offer efficient power transfer with a maximum conservation of brightness.
 LIEKKI™ End Caps
Our end caps are manufactured with LIEKKI™ passive fibers with 125, 250 or 400 micron claddings and embedded within a polished Angle Physical Contact (APC) connector.
![]() LIEKKI™ Mode Field Adapter Tapers
Our mode field adapter tapers are optically matched to our active and passive fibers. The tapers offer very low signal insertion losses and maintain polarization extremely well. Custom taper configurations can be made available.
