USA September 13, 2011 – Leading high-power semiconductor laser provider nLIGHT Corporation (nLIGHT) today announced it has hired Manoj Kanskar as Vice President of Advanced Technology. Kanskar most recently served as Vice President of Research & Development at Alfalight, Inc. Prior to Alfalight, Kanskar held positions with Lasertel, Inc. and Spectra-Physics, Inc.

Kanskar began his career over 20 years ago after receiving his PhD in Physics at the University of Oregon. Kanskar holds five patents and over 40 published industry papers. Additionally, he acts as reviewer for industry publications Electronics Letters by Institution of Engineering and Technology, Photonics Technology Letter by IEEE Photonics Society, and Optics Letters by The Optical Society.
