nLIGHT Expands Fiber Laser Development Team, Appoints Dahv Kliner as Director of Fiber Laser Product Development

Vancouver, Wash. USA January 15, 2013 – Leading high-power laser provider nLIGHT Corporation (nLIGHT) today announced that it has hired Dahv Kliner as Director of Fiber Laser Product Development. Kliner most recently led the commercial kW fiber laser program at JDSU. Prior to JDSU, he headed Sandia National Laboratories’ fiber laser program and developed pulsed fiber lasers for a variety of applications.


“I am pleased to welcome Dr. Kliner to the nLIGHT fiber laser team,” said Jake Bell, nLIGHT Vice President and General Manager.  “Dahv has significant expertise in high power fiber laser product development and manufacturing. His background is well matched to our expanding portfolio of laser products.”


Kliner received his PhD at Stanford University and performed postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota and at Harvard University. He began his career in fiber lasers over 15 years ago and has developed key enabling technologies for both pulsed and continuous-wave (CW) fiber sources.
