nLIGHT Expands the element™ Platform, Continuing to Evolve Fiber Laser Competitiveness by Re-Setting Diode Pump Price Per Bright Watt Performance

VANCOUVER, Wash. USA February 4, 2014 – nLIGHT Corporation (nLIGHT) today announced the addition of three new products to the element™ portfolio. The 40W / 105um, the 100W / 105um, and the 200W / 200um formats leverage the key technological advances of the element™ platform. Designed to meet market requirements of higher power and brightness, lower cost and smaller form factor, the element™ now delivers up to 100W from a 105um fiber and 200W from a 200um fiber with simplified design architecture.

“These new additions to the element™ portfolio provide us a complete product offering that can be tailored to different fiber laser architectures,” said Michael Atchley, Product Line Director at nLIGHT. “element™ was designed to address the merchant market requirements for cost-effective bright diode pumps. Through chip, package and manufacturing innovations, element™ is now positioned to be the package of choice for the fiber laser market.”

The element™ platform offers the perfect solution, from pulsed fiber lasers to multi-kW CW fiber laser systems, resulting in the most competitive product offering of high brightness, fiber-coupled diodes in the industry today.

See the element™ at Photonics West 2014, February 4 – 6, 2014, at the nLIGHT booth in the South Hall, Booth #2039.
